Hey there, I’m currently a postman of 18years but sadly a few years ago I had to go down hours to care for my disabled mother, management a currently trying to get all four of us on the same job share contracts on the one job share (shared van duty) here my problem there currently are three of us working the same three days the other two have more seniority, one won’t change due to child care the other won’t change due to days of booked around holidays, but genuinely can’t get care for mom on the proposed day changes one manager and another at another local office and union say I’m intitled to family friendly, but my Dom and another line manager say the must give me notice, I really don’t want to give my job up as it keeps me sane, thanks for any advice in advance

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If they know the factors involved in you not being able to accept these changes before issuing you notice of the new contract couldn’t this be construed as constructive dismissal? Can anyone else clarify on this?
