We were sent out yesterday despite the forecast. Within 2 hours every road became impassable and total gridlock followed and took hours to return to office after recall . Today all roads unsafe. Not many, if any going out. Snow showers tomorrow and blizzard forecast fri. The unsalted back roads are frankly a nightmare and as we now deliver larger parcels , delivering by foot as we used to do ,has become impractical

When they showed some of the disruption on the BBC news, at one point they showed a red lorry that had gone down an embankment with the arse end of the trailer sticking up in the air. I'm fairly sure that it was an RM trailer

Did they tell you to take your lapsing as well ?

Did they tell you to take your lapsing as well ?

We had a big safety speech, if it looks too dangerous bring it back etc, followed by we're still lapsing 3 rounds lol

Had an accident on delivery yesterday after being forced out in unsafe conditions. Just need to know how I stand (not literally!) when it comes to the legal side of things. Will it be considered a standard accident on delivery, or can I take further action against my employer?

If you are in the Union, call Unionline and seek advice. If they direct you to your branch, call them.

Regardless of union status, make sure the accident is properly logged in the accident reporting system (ERICA) and do not say anything during your interview whilst logging the accident which would be viewed as making it your fault.
