Our office has a duty that does them, none of our walks take them out as we dont go out untill 10.00 at the earliest.I would have thought this was the norm across the network, in some offices all specials go on vans.

make sure the customer is aware that rm has "hoodwinked" the sender into buying a service that doesn,t exist. perhaps when the compensation claims come rolling in they will be exposed for the fraudsters they are.

The towns get done by a bag drop driver, the rest dont get done as we are not ready to go out untill 9 to 9.30.

Why are RM still selling this product?

special delivery

I managed to deliver my special delivery ( guaranteed by 1pm of course) at 1.45 yesterday!!!! Not a patch on my mates 9 o'clocker tho that he despatched at 11!!! :d'oh! If the managers don't give a s**t, why the hell should we?? Only an avalanche of compensation claims will see a change of attitude. Surely somebody at RM is paid enough to have spotted that later starts = later deliveries and that later times on guaranteed deliveries should be announced :arrrghhh After all, us overpaid! posties ALL spotted this b***s up :no no

Mine are delivered by my regular postie, and he rarely delivers to my address before 1200, when I have already left for work, so I usually have to collect them from the DO on Saturday morning.

If we have to break off and we're over out time we bring the mail back and it misses. So it better for the SD to miss its time.

I was prepping a walk this morning, at 8.40 a line manager comes over and asks me to get a van and take out three 9am specials, traffic was a nightmare but just managed to get them done. Seems to me that Specials seem to be treated as an afterthought now
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
