CSA Payments

Post by Drunk »

This is a bit of info for anyone who pays CSA out of their wages like i do.

I noticed that when we only got payed for one day during the last strike my weekly payment to the ex's hair and holiday fund didnt go out, the following week double the amount was taken.

My new partner kept naging me saying why have they taken it out double, they shouldnt do that, i as usual didnt listen.......that was until today, i phoned the CSA to question this and low and behold Royal Mail should not have taken 2 weeks payment the following week, i was advised by the CSA to call wages to get a refund as there is a protected earning amount on your wages, which means that if you earn below a certian amount the payment will not be taken, i did this and was told by some mardy cow that WE HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT AND WE WONT REFUND YOU TOUGH s**t.

So i called the CSA back who said they would call wages on my behalf......20 mins later i had a call to say that i would be refunded for the weeks money that they should not have taken.

My advice to anyone who is in the same situation, call the CSA tell them that Royal Mail have taken double, ring wages and tell them what the CSA have told you, if they refuse to refund you get back on to the CSA who will sort it out for you.

Dont get me wrong i know i have to pay for my child and i dont mind, but when im left with no cash to live on due to royal mail not having a clue what they are doing thats something different.

Ps Get on to them quick, i was advised that if wages have sent your payment to the CSA (15th of each month) the CSA will not refund.

your protected earning are roughly £115 any arrears owing can also be taken from wages bit by bit each week
but you have to ask wages, but women I spoke to at csa said royal mail wages not really forth coming at doing this
have to see what wages i get tomorrow to see what i'm left with, have know faith in either!
