How many Mail centres and VOCS are still using agency drivers?
Thought the Driver Career Path was supposed to be training up Royal Mail employees for any roles....

If it's still happening it's probably because processing is so short on staff that they can't release anyone

People who have passed the class 1 on the Driver Career Path, have to apply for any vacancies at their local Mail Centre or VOC.... Just seen a agency looking for 4 class 1 drivers at a certain mail centre / VOC....

Colleagues that hold their Class 1 and up to date CPC. Cannot just walk into a Job at the VOC's . You need to forward a copy of your driving licence, and CPC Card to logistic managers at the VOC's . Let them know you would like to work there on loan adhoc. They will in turn loan you,from your current office. Instead of using agency. Once vacancies arise you will then have the option to apply. Recruiting for these vacancies are done on a skills/seniority basis. If you havent got your foot in the door via adhoc driving.You won't get to hear about the vacancies.

The best way to get into any position now is via success factors. If you have upto date licence with cpc , You should meet minimum criteria to at least get an interview/assessment at your local DC ,
