No they won’t. This has the potential to bring in many millions in revenue. It cannot work unless there’ is a network review , it cannot work if there is not a review RDCs , it cannot work if there is not a review in Mail Centres , it cannot work if tyeee is not a review in Area Distibuion and it cannot process until Royal Mail formally announce that from October companies can post in the RDC network up to either midnight or possibly 01:00.
That will take time hence why October is the anticipated date and that won’t one forward as this requires some considerable planning.

However it is not true that the protection only last 13 weeks that is garbage.
Remember the change on LAT is not due in until October and that each office will be reviewed on the basis , what is the last arrival in your inward Mail Centre and how many York’s are on it. The assumption is that the Mail Centre needs 90 minutes to process this work , than you have to factor the stem time from Mail Centre to your Delicery office and than minus 60 minutes for your start time and 90 minutes for those who are capped at 30 minutes later.
There is no other plans for changes to finishes times deployed with this agreement , no flights being cancelled , the network reviews are links to this proposal.
There will be a new Delivery Agreement sometime in 2020 but this will be subject to further negoations , a policy forum and a membership vote.
Business as usual proposals may lead to some proposals around changes. However Royal Mail fully understand now how unpopular their original proposals for a 9-5 Delivery window.
The concentration now for the business is to grow the LAT product from October based on the finishing times agreed with this new Agreement. Additionally they have now identified the 80 units which will deliver what does not connect with the core workload.
Remember Royal Mail and CWU have analysed every inward Mail Centre last dispatch under the network review and LAT from NDC and every delivery office hence we now have over 1040 and increase from 1023 where there will not be any changes to finishing times.
The 51 which were capped at 30 minutes has now reduced to 31.
You really think that Royal Mail will potentially cancel the flights which carry Mail when the Network review factors in the flights and as do the Later Acceptance growth product ?
There will be pressure in the future from later finishes but that will be subject to a further lengthy negoations and following the trials and will be subject to either a conference / policy forum and another vote of the membership.

Tracked or normal?
dingo wrote:The vast majority of this is aimed at arriving with the core load in delivery offices hence why the arrival into Mail Centres will be new but which is aimed at ensuring the vast majority of offices will not have a later finish time and the maximum 31 offices will be capped at 30 minutes later.
If the plan is for it to arrive at DOs in the core load then it needs to be ready for dispatch at MCs to the DOs at 06:00. You can't have the main dispatch much later as you would have too much risk of catching the traffic and failing 9am specials. About 05:00 is the absolute latest it can arrive at the MCs to have any chance of clearing, that is assuming that we actually have enough staff to process it
The LAT will have to be Tracked24, This whole thing is aimed at companies like Next and Boohoo to provide next day delivery for the evening internet junkies. Tracked24 is the only product that fits that model.

....And delivery postmen and women on deliveries that are already far too big will continue to be harassed by the Stasi to deliver to a neighbour when these internet junkies are at work the following day. Sorry, I almost forgot the official line that opening the gates of, and walking up and down the paths of multiple neighbours does NOT add time on to deliveries!

Dingo this weeks WTLL video had a RM manager, or whatever he was, saying that the LAT's would be up to 1.30 am so what you've posted and what he said just looks like RM are already moving the goal posts to suit their end.

Anyone here work in an RDC? What's the typical amount of time that it takes an RDC to process a Tracked 24 item (from the time it comes off the inward lorry to the time that it's loaded onto the outward lorry?
