I don't want to take a pay cut thankyou CWU!
mk
You will still get paid for a 40 hour week as I understand it no matter how many hours are removed under the CWUs campaign. I realise the CWU didn't ask us if we wanted the SWW and that it seems a bit 'world turned upside down' but it's where we are now. I doubt the current drop in mail volumes is a coincidence and is probably linked to acquiring a yes vote in the forthcoming ballot. The mail volumes will recover afterwards and we will all likely have more than enough to fill our 40 hours even though it will end up being marked down as 39, 38, or 37 hours worked instead.

Additionally there will be a full review of part time hours. Equally we can now use PDA actuals to determine if an individual is being forced to work beyond their time for no remuneration.
Information from the PDA is currently used for example to determine if tracked parcels have been delivered to the correct address when customers claim they have not received items. Therefore as you state it must be possible to use PDA data now to determine and prove that posties are currently delivering beyond their paid hours and that extended delivery should be paid. But this isn't happening now. If the new agreement is voted through PDA data, maybe along with AHDC data, could be used to definitely determine that many posties are delivering beyond paid hours and posties could choose to either deliver to time or get paid for going over time. If this is specifically mentioned, or even just implied, in the new agreement will it be checked as a matter of course or will we have to fight individually or via our union reps to get the data examined ????

Pay rise 5%, but no pay rise this April. The whole pension situation is a complete debacle. The C.W.U should have balloted the workforce when Royal Mail stopped the final salary scheme. They " Royal Mail" got away with it then unchallenged and are now coming back robbing our pensions to line their shareholders pockets. On the rest of this agreement there is far too many loose ends for my liking.

And you say nothing is being done ?
Why does anyone get 'forced to work beyond their time for no remuneration'? If you don't want overtime, don't do it. Sounds harsh, but people have got to stand up for themselves. If you're not getting paid, don't do the work.

It may be easy for you to do that in your DO but every office is run differently in this business. I cannot really say much more on the issue here.

7. Pay - .. 2% from April which is dependent on a new Delivery , Mail Centre , RDC and Logstics Agreement.
As pre-ballot agreement (EDIT); With effect from the 1st April 2019 for weekly paid employees an increase of 2% on basic pay rates or salary, ....
Dingo could you expand & clarify what the new Delivery , Mail Centre , RDC and Logistics Agreement is & the consequences if no agreement were reached given 2% is dependent.

I have done the maths, according to the agreement the only remuneration for the cut in hours is the pay rise, after the 1 hour reduction in October full time employees will be only £10.70 better off a week than now.
A 2.45% increase.
In 2019 it's worse with only a 2% rise when we go down to 37 hours in October we'll lose £2.46 a week.
Equating to a PAY CUT that year.

We can't all be John Rambo.....
Then why the hell don't our union do something about it they know about it the sent an LTB out it asking for evidence and got thousands of replies yet nothing in the agreement other than aspirations of a change. Lets just kick the can down the road for everything agreement nothing solved or resolved just KICK THE DAMN CAN DOWN THE ROAD AGREEMENT!
