Claiming fuel for induction

Post by Devoned »

Hi,

I have my induction soon, but it's a 47 mile journey each way. My DO will be 10 miles.

Can I claim mileage for this travelling?

As I understand it, the distance you can claim is the distance from your DO to the induction location (45p a mile). Also (and be aware for the future) if you
travel to work locations which are not your parent office your vehicle insurance should include business use or you may not be insured.

Claim the mileage drove minus 20 miles.
