Hate how he CWU are saying the changes to sick pay are off the table, yet in the new agreement it says in black and white that they will be looking at how the business manages attendance. Can see the business getting what they want there.

norm wrote:"We will increase the Company contribution to the RMDCP by 1% in each year, up to a maximum of 10%"
I already put in 6% with RM adding 9%, so a jump to 10% isn't exactly groundbreaking, especially when those on the DBCS are getting 13.6% hardly fair is it.
Norm, my thoughts exactly....all for one, one for....ok maybe not then.

This concerns me a lot , what delivery methods ?? and "Automated hours capture" I seriously hope this isn't going to be used as a tool to bash people withthe deployment of the new last letter delivery time
and the completion of specific trials in the operation to help improve customer service and productivity - these include delivery methods and automated hours data capture.

The union can't very well go on about having a pension solution for everybody can they. The first five years of contributing to a pension are arguably more important than the last five because it grows over time.
So any new starts in RM will be on inferior terms to the existing workforce for 5 years, something the union were supposed to be fighting against.

The only clear, solid guaranteed thing is the pay rise. Voting yes will leave us open to all kinds of crap.
"We will do this, we will do that, we will work together to .." No, I just don't believe it. Royal Mail don't have to work with the union at all. They will bulldoze ahead with their ridiculous schemes. One wave, three bundles later start times.
Where are the black and white legally binding agreements?
Vote NO.

Now they are privatised they will do what they want imo. This is the beginning of the end, in fairness it's only what you have to do in any other job. In any other job you have to do as you're told, if you don't like it there's the door. This is the start time, this is the finish time, this is the shift pattern, if you don't like it then lump it. There's no throwing toy's out the pram or crying off to the union in the real world.
RM staff have been spoilt over the years really. When it was Government funded and the tax payer picked up the bill you could get away with murder but private companies want their pound of flesh. We're seeing it in fleet, we have to stick to exact repair times. I.E; If you get 6 hours book time for a clutch you must stick to that time, if you go over you're in the office explaining yourself.
