Never voting Liebour

Post by strangler »

I`ll never ever vote Labour again. Apart from treating postal workers like s**t I`m fed up with the way they`ve handled the immigration issue. Even more than that I`m disgusted with the way the 'human rights' act can be used to prevent convicted criminals being kicked out on their ass back to their own country just because they don`t have any family there, pass me the hankie I can feel tears welling up in my eyes already. You may say what`s that got to do with Labour but it`s their signing up to various dodgy European legislation such as the above that has got us into this ludicrous situation.
In fact getting back to RM there are parallels. Liebour sign up to a dodgy European deal assuring joe public that it won`t affect us in important laws, etc and then you hear of things like were on the news today. A bloke from Sierra Leone 11 convictions for sexual assault but still allowed to stay here and not even a British citizen ffs.
Then you have the CWU top bods agreeing a deal and assuring us that a lot of things won`t happen or will need your agreement so not to worry. Well we know what happens next don`t we.. :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Here here, its about time we the working masses get out and vote these two faced, lying, corrupt politicians out, wiht the age of the internet its is possible!!!! You may say, but then we ll get the tories- can they be any worse??? even if we do, we vote them out, then eventually they(politicians)will realise that spin and presentation are worthless and that the only way to retain power is to have beliefs and values that represent the majority of the population. We need to introduce proportional representaion :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause

WE are the union :nana :nana :nana

But immigration is good for us.

It brings us the benefits of diversity.

I stopped voting for the Labour Party when the bastards bombed the f*cK out of Iraq. Trouble is, we're all living in a world where we are constantly being reminded that we mustn't waste our right to vote, and yet there's f*ck all to choose between each party, as they're all a bunch o' tossers!

Solution: Privatise the fugging lot of 'em -- useless fuggers!

We hear so much about immigration these days, but when it's coupled with the problem of crime it becomes more of a personal issue. It's bad enough that we've got our own 'home grown' criminal element in this country without importing other peoples who have no desire to integrate peacefully, as do I'm sure many will want to do.

Personally speaking, that what's-his-face who's been in this country since he was six, and has done nothing but crime, ought to have some 'other' punishment meted out on him. I've got my own unconventional ideas, but they're a lot less brutal than say what punishment might be meted out to him if he were to return to his own country.

Now, if only I could get that franchise for Prime Minister I'm sure I could sort out a few of our big problems concerning these matters.
We posties do things differently, but we still get shot at!

Our (other) men and women deserve a little more... http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/

So what are you saying then, you vote Tory, or you don't vote?
That's one thing the Tories always have over the working man, namely the worker's propensity to cut off his nose to spite his face.
And to think of our forebears who fought and in some cases died to get us proles the vote. :mad

This is why I am a supporter of PR. Ok smaller parties would get more power than perhaps they should but at least people would see that their votes do make a difference. At the moment whichever party is voted in it never gets even 50% of the vote and in my reckoning when parties get power on a vote of less than 50% and turn out is less than 50% then that in no way amounts to democracy.

Trouble is the 2 top parties know that if PR did come in then they would have less power unless they formed workable polices that helped the largest section of the UKs population, namely the working class.

PR's not that clever either. Just ask the Japs, Italians, and Israelis, who have a change of government every three months. With non-continuity like that, nothing's ever going to be achieved.

Don't know why you think like that. No-one is preventing those non-voters from voting, so if they all chose to vote on occasion, would that then mean that suddenly the non-democratic process becomes democratic?
If some can't get off thier fat a****s to exercise thier hard-won democratic right to vote, does that mean that I, as a voter, am then taking part in a non-democratic process?

You are voting in a democratic process but the result itself is not.

I vote every election (and yes I know the fat arsed comment was not for me), and I firmly belive that voting should be compulsory (like Australia). But I can see why people refuse to vote. By the way Australia operates a PR system for their senate and that seems fairly stable. Also most Scandinavian countries also use a similar system and again for the most part they have stable governments.

Businesses have two choices at the moment: Conservatives and Labour.

Working Class. Depends on how far along the Socilaist/Communist slide rule you are but main stream there is probably the Green Party, Liberals to some extent (but not me) and Respect (but thats a stretch)

Radical/tactical/anti Europe. Main choice would be the Liberals again to either keep Labour/Conservative out depending on your view and all the other socialist parties.

So at the moment if we keep the Status Quo there is never going to be a move towards any form of socialism and big business will get bigger, the rich richer and the poor poorer. If we least brought in PR this would be a fairly radical change and may be the impetus we need to bring about a more just and equal society.
