daveyeff wrote:Its nearly ALL D2D money. the reason we still get the money when we are off is because its now in the workload and this comes from money generated from the revenue RM receive from the D2D money. to say we don't get paid for D2Ds is correct. but we all know where the money comes from to pay us our ''supplements''.
I don't know why you're splitting hairs. RM gets paid for D2D contracts and everyone including people who have little to do with D2D gets paid a set amount per week as a result of them being delivered. Most of the time we get six or less leaflets, and on the odd occasion seven leaflets,to deliver to each delivery point. Although I heard a long while back that Reading gets fifteen leaflets per delivery point per week. Not completely sure if that was correct or if it happens in other places as well.

But when we have no leaflets we still get paid. I am right as well :chuckle :chuckle
of course, because when your office or section doesn't have them, hundreds of other offices do. the revenue pot is there from the contractors and split up between D.O.s and mail centres.

davey, businesses don't keep separate revenue pots from every product to pay separate supplements.

The only connection between D2D and the payment was an accounting calculation made in 2010 to set the initial amount of the Spanish Inquisition Supplement.

Our office is effectively split into two different postcodes. It's not always the case but as a general rule one half of the walks usually gets between three and six leaflets per week. The other half of the walks generally get less leaflets than the other half and occasionally get none at all. It's just another example of life not being 'fair' so you either accept it or get out of the kitchen. Some unemployed people in this country effectively get paid twenty grand a year tax free to sit at home watching the telly while we work all week for a bit more than that. That's capitalism for you.

as I said before though fish, if RM decided to scrap D2Ds altogether then its safe to say we'd all lose our ''delivery supplement''.

And the half that "gets between three and six leaflets per week" is no doubt a wealthier area than the half that "generally get less leaflets and occasionally get none at all". :cuppa

3 Has part timers constantly doing full time hours but never getting an increase in contracted hours been addressed ?

These issues probably make most people unhappy in their job. Let's face it your walk was tested properly and adjusted accordingly people would not work for free, the bullying would then stop and there would be a lot more scope for f/t contracts. How much happier would the workforce be then.

Not sure the shareholders would be though.

Will never happen though
The truth at last
How many, would put this as their number 1 concern, above pensions, payrise ect. It would be mine.

No they won't it's a delivery supplement not a D2d supplement and for some of us it was £8 increase not £20. Those of us that had been there before the later starts kicked in, used to get £12 early morning shift allowance for starting before 5.30am. When starting times moved we were given the supplement on grandfather rights which was then removed as the delivery supplement replaced it and every one got it. This was how they got it voted in, more cash for newer starters and free money for MC workers that don't even have to deliver the s**t. This part of it also had absolutely naff all to do with D2ds. We get nothing for D2ds they are part of the workload now. The delivery supplement was just a bribe/sweetener to accept losing payment for them not a different type off payment for them, other than that they are not linked!

D2ds needed to become part of ‘normal workload’ as the company was prior to this being ‘stung’ twice ... ie people would be incurring o/t as a result of prepping and delivering them and then claiming the old style payment per item on top imo

... now we just claim o/t (most days invariably) as most walks/workloads are not achievable on delivery

well I didn't say it was a 20 quid increase. AND I'm NOT saying its a D2D supplement. I'm saying we get the money that is now called 'delivery supplement'' FROM the revenue that is generated from D2D. they done away with ESA and D2D payments and redistributed the income via delivery/mail centre supplements. of course its D2D money and you can argue all you like. its rumoured they get 1 billion quid a year from these leaflets so they obviously wouldn't scrap them, but if they did it would mean we would lose the supplement ..end of.

Well you've yet to see what it is RM want from the agreement, although now retired, I remember the deal of the century only to find the detail was far from what was suggested to get the membership to agree.
