Returning to royal mail

Post by themoog »

I left the business in November and would like to come back and work for Royal mail. Apparently there is a six month period after your leaving date within which you can have your old job back! Anyone heard of this and how do i go about putting wheels in motion?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re applied today. It does exist, and as I have only left for three months the person I spoke to reckons they can get me back in in a matter of weeks!

Let us know how you got on, what contract you got and what contract you previously had.
And the seniority thing as well, previous leavers who have come back get their previous service taken into account when it comes to holidays but not seniority in the business, that is usually lost.
