Flu Jabs
Would have been a better idea to offer this jab in September for all posties who do not get it free and wanted it, we were warned about this flu in summer but as usual RM don't want to put there hand in their pocket and pay, we cant even get hand sanitizers, most us usually catch it from someone at work.

The flu jab protects you against a few strains of flu - not all of them.
It isn't 100% effective.
As an asthmatic I have the flu jab every year and I think it is wonderful.
If you can get it for free it is well worth the money.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

There is still a great deal of controversy surrounding the shape of the earth, some scientists believe that since there is a depression at the north pole and a bulge at the south pole the best description is pear shaped. The most popular description though is an ellipsoid of revolution which I like because it sounds cool.daveyeff wrote:you mean the earth is ROUND?!!

The twin towers and other attacks on that same day were a bit suspect though. At the very least there was probably bad construction design of the towers. The Pentagon one as well where the plane was almost on the ground before it impacted the wall. Bit off topic . Sorry.

Flu jab reimbursement programme
There has been an unprecedented rise in the number of flu cases. The deadly strain, dubbed ‘Aussie flu’ (Japanese flu is also an issue), is having a significant impact on the NHS.
In order to help colleagues and reduce pressure on the NHS, we will reimburse anyone who wishes to have a flu jab at a registered pharmaceutical outlet, for this winter period.
What you need to do
Visit a registered pharmaceutical outlet offering a flu jab, such as Boots, Asda and LloydsPharmacy, to name a few. You must get a valid receipt (up to a maximum of £13) and give this to your manager. They will process this and it will be refunded into your bank account
You are eligible for reimbursement of flu jab costs from 13 January 2018, providing you have a valid receipt
Please see your GP if symptoms don’t improve after seven days.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and offer further advice when required.
Tips to help reduce the risk of flu
Wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water
Regularly clean surfaces such as your computer keyboard, telephone and door handles to get rid of germs
Use tissues to cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
Use a bin to dispose of your used tissues as soon as possible.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
