If the 35 hour week does come in then how on earth are you going to do the deliverys as they are now? No way are RM going to make the rounds smaller, the runners will try and run faster until they are knackered which they will be,and the managers will bully the ones which do the job properly and cant get done in their time. It will be a total nightmare for the poor posties,it will be a win win situation for RM and a lose lose one for the postie. So glad I am out of all this.

just imagine how much better Moyas likely huge bonus could have been better spent on getting some extra staff in to manage the workload. this is why I wont go "the extra mile" for this company, until our leadership stops getting huge bonuses whilst the service suffers I refuse to do it.

For DOs I'm guessing that it's going to have to be take an hours worth of delivery off every delivery (possibly making up some new walks) or they'll get more cut-offs (larger cut-offs where walks already cut-off)Brandy wrote:If the 35 hour week does come in then how on earth are you going to do the deliverys as they are now? well vote no for any type of later start, not acceptable, struggling to make 1pms now , having to divert from route to make 1pms and then doms questioning why we cut off and couldnt complete.SpacePhoenix wrote:For DOs I'm guessing that it's going to have to be take an hours worth of delivery off every delivery (possibly making up some new walks) or they'll get more cut-offs (larger cut-offs where walks already cut-off)Brandy wrote:If the 35 hour week does come in then how on earth are you going to do the deliverys as they are now? sometimes driving around stirs can take upto and longer then a hour
a simplified cutting off procedure as postmen get a ear ache every single day, with pressure being applied to them like "they" are the problem.
any type of later start will effect many employees, school run, travel time to and from work, traffic, traffic , traffic.......................
they want later acceptance, then roll out a 2nd afternoon shift with new employees

Doesn't really matter what us in MCs think, DO staff outnumber us 2:1 so it'll in effect be DO staff who will determine if any deal gets voted in or outlightningpostman wrote:well vote no for any type of later start, not acceptable, struggling to make 1pms now , having to divert from route to make 1pms and then doms questioning why we cut off and couldnt complete.
