Now we have on a daily basis deliveries unable to be completed in the time allocated all because some twat decided to rush round, not take a break & go home early. Giving management the oppourtunity to add extra onto said delivery.

Its been happening for so long I believe its a key reason why the jobs in the mess it is today. :Applause
:no no Total bollocks. In our area we have a local agreement to take 20 of our 40 minutes break at the end. Makes no difference to the hours worked or the total amount of work done.

Our DOM has been telling our office to take their breaks for a long time now but people see it as a pain in the neck and would rather the early finish.

In the past year we have had a revision and the planners have added to the majority of walks. When speaking to the planners and the DOM they all said that those who haven't been taking their breaks have killed it for everyone. Because they just look at finish times and most people take their full 40min break at the end which has skewed the finish times.

I'm in the minority of people who take their break and the DOM was speaking to us on our break one day and looked fed up and basically told us that he tried to avoid this situation but people took no notice.
It has actually made his job harder now where some think that the DOMS love us not taking our breaks it's the other way round.
