Busy?
My day off tomorrow. so thought I will have a nap at 4.30 so I don't fall asleep too early tonight. Woke up at 7.15Bernardson wrote:Really Busy Xmas. Mail Centre failed and work arrived late into DO today![]()
Went overtime and still bought some mail back. Got home and had to lay on bed for twenty minutes before removing uniformHad tea/dinner and fell asleep for an hour now up and bright and breezy. It all happens over again tomorrow

Nowadays it's very hard to judge and the figures given out by RM are not to be trusted. Even our DOM has found their figures to be out by as much as fifty percent.
It does seem at the moment that cards are down and Parcels have increased by quite a lot. But after two days without being able to deliver due to one day of snow and one of ice we have loads of mail backed up on-site. The post boxes seem to be full of cards so I think the large amounts of cards are yet to hit us. It's another last minute Christmas methinks. We are going to work on Sunday as well this week I think to try and clear our parcel backlog. Didn't get back from delivery til 1630 excluding breaks for which there wasn't time to take. Another day in RM land.......
Why was there no time to take breaks? Surely you mean you didn't take your break. Start time, BREAK TIME, finish time(or overtime) .surely after 20 years service you should know this.

Sometimes at busy times like Christmas there is no option to take meal breaks, if your getting back at 4,30pm, if you had a break that’s 5.00pmStrong bull wrote:Celgar wrote:Ditto on the twenty years service. There is always time for a break. There may not be time to do all the work but there is always time for a break and please correct me if I'm wrong but by law you are supposed to take a break after 6 hours, especially if you are driving. What would happen if you had an accident and someone got hurt on the way back to the office. First question would be now long have you been working and when did you last have a break.I'm afraid they would throw the book at you, both r/m and the police and quite rightly so.

Busy?
Still chasing our arse after not going out Monday and Tuesday. Starting to catch up, but just that, starting. It's been horrendous the last few days. I'm on packet runs, had 85 drops on one walk today; we're expected to cover 6 walks. On top of that the weather has made going at anything other than a snails pace near impossible.
