30Th november update
The CWU have said that the mediator does not understand the complexity of the issues I believe. Why would we expect them to then accept a recommendation on moving things forward from them? It’s likely they will not be happy with any recommendation from the mediator and will be serving notice again on strike action. I’m certainly not expecting anything other than this.

Patience.
The info will be made public when they can. I no it is frustrating but it is foolish to release scraps of information that can be misinterpreted and possibly cause a negative impact. These threads are not helping and put unnecessary pressure on the negotiators. They have as much to lose as everyone. There positions are at risk if they do not come up with the goods.

If they are paid £100 grand/year they can expect a bit of pressure from the people that actually pay their wages.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

So it rumbles on then, just like tumbleweed it's all a farce I get the feeling ITV will step in to make a series out of these tea & biscuit meetings while the workforce is being strung along.

Do not forget that you the members have the final vote on whether any terms if any are acceptable. Does it not make sense that you wait for what is going to be offered and then make your mind up whether the people that have represented you have come up with a reasonable acceptable offer or whether they have been stringing you along and come up with gobshite. I will be very surprised if they present a package that will be unacceptable, it will either be reasonable news or out on the gates.

If talks are scheduled for w/c 11th December, and they break up acrimoniously that day, 12th December + 14 days notice = Boxing Day.nudenut wrote:Tick tock tick tock what a farce... will be too late soon in my opinion ....

The union should of for-seen all this coming and balloted earlier .
They should of balloted earlier so we could go out in December .18 months they've had to sort this out. It won't have a great effect in January will it.
Everybody is now frustrated with both parties.
