So after applying for the 2nd time in 6 months I got an email today to say I've got an interview this Thursday, I've booked my slot for 11am I've read a good bit on here since I applied the first time so I've a rough idea how things will go but any new tips/things I should know before Thursday ? Also if successful am I likely to start before xmas.

starting before Christmas, I would say possible but unlikely depending on the role you applied for.

You'd have to wait for the result of the background checks and that adds about 2 weeks minimum. Then there is the time to process your application. Then Christmas time would be a very difficult to time to train someone in deliveries at least.

My guess is you'd probably start in the New year.

Thanks for the info, the job I've applied for is postman with driving 30 hours per week permanent.

got word this morning that my application has not been successful and I can reapply in 6 months, during the interview the panel told me that the job I had been applying for had been filled internally but a job in another office was available but if not selected I would be on a 3 month waiting list so what am I to make of the 6 month gap to reapply?
