Injury and the equality act.

Unsure where the best place to post this is so hopefully it here!

Have been going to physio for about 8 months because of pain in one knee, felt after walking for prolonged periods. After no improvement an MRI has shown there to be damage to the bone and cartilage. The advice is to try and minimize things which bring on the pain to reduce the load on the joint.
I have been given a referral to see a surgical consultant but the physiotherapist was of the impression they would be hesitant towards an operation as there would be no guarantees it would successfully remove pain, possibly having the opposite effect.

Currently I am a reserve covering a mixture of walking and rural jobs. Nowhere near the end of my working life so IHR isn't something I'd be looking for. Would it be seen as an unreasonable request to ask to be placed on a duty with more driving and less walking?

Ask ur dom to risk assessed or for atos report if they still do them, that way u can find out what u can and can’t do
