They've got to put them up every six months or so as part of the Way Forward agreement. Ask your rep if you can see a copy.

Had much the same in my old DO... screws and old rep were in cahoots together and the duties went out IF they both agreed... Basically IF the walk was hard then if someone wanted it Just to have a walk and know what they were doing in the morning... IE Not prepping 2 sometimes 3 walks then being moved to another to take out... IT WAS BOLLOX.... I refused to move unless it suited and made enemys in the dom N the rep.... FECK EM THEY AINT GOD!!!

The rules are there to all see...If a postie is on a walk or duty for more than 2 weeks then that person can ask for that duty to be had on continuity...

I had my 1st walk this way.... They tried to bullshite about the "WAYFORWARD" but i wernt having it.... IF there are a third of the dutys in the office that change there times or drops then it should go to a resign... Or mini resign if voted on.... When the office is split with very long duties and very easy duties the senior ppl kick up a stink... I do understand this.... But the junior bods should always get to fill the VACS... Or this is when favoritism comes in with the screws.... Pick there blue eyed boys..... :no no Seen it a thousand times... The Dom dont want a resign unless its to cut duties... Giving them out to newbies is a bad move for DOMS wanting to cut hours! So the senior bod dont want it and the dom dont want it and IF the Rep dont want it.....????

THIS IS WHY THERE IS SUCH A TURN OVER OF STAFF IN DO's RM pay shite wages and treat people like shite as well... No wonder they can say.. "CASUALS ANT THE WORK" THENTHEY PAY US WELL UNDER THE RATE OF PAY THAT RM PAY AGENCYS.... WOT THE FECK IS THAT ALL ABOUT?????UNLESS RM WANT TO BRING THIS SERVICE DOWN AND LOSE MONEY HAND OVER FIST? ITS THERE PLOY.....

LET EVERYONE HAVE A CRACK ON EVERYWALK WHEN THEY FIRST START... BUT MAKE IT FAIR AND FIGHT FOR DUTIES WITHIN THE SERVICE.... SENIOR BODS NEED TO FIGHT THE MOVE BY RM TO CUT DUTIES ALL THE TIME OR THERE WONT BE A JOB...

WE ALL NEED TO WAKE UP!!!! :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad

Well in our DO, the system is that a PT isn't allowed to apply for a FT walk. There is no such thing as a new FT employee anymore therefore all PTs basically float on all rounds without a FT on it and holiday/sick cover. Everytime a FT leaves their round is taken by another FT and a handful of them move around to suit. Basically it means that every twelve months or so the same handful of FTs try something different and everyone else is stuck in a neverending loop too.
