Workmates at Valley depot in Bradford posed for snaps in a bid to raise funds for woman struck down by Lyme Disease
A GROUP of glamourous postwomen have posed for their own charity calendar.
The friends ditched their uniforms in a bid to raise money for a woman struck down by chronic Lyme Disease.
Kelly Williams came up with the idea of the calendar to raise funds for a friend who has Lyme Disease
It was the brainchild of Kelly Williams, who said: “The idea came from a guy I work with.
"He was kidding at first and now can’t believe that I’ve actually gone and done it.
"Convincing the girls took a little while, plus there’s not that many female posties to go at in our place.
“We were going to do the Calendar Girls thing and be naked with packets and parcels strategically placed but that’s been done to death, I wanted to come up with something different to get people’s attention.

“The calendar is a very classy, arty affair, the one thing you don’t expect from a postie is for them to look glamorous and beautiful.
“Some girls were easier than others to persuade. One woman declared, ‘I want to be naked’,
"Others were a little more timid, and needed more encouragement.
“That was my job on the shoot, making them feel confident, beautiful, helping them to relax and get into it.”

It features her workmates at The Valley depot in Bradford, West Yorks.
Kelly added: “The idea of the calendar was in the style of the Pirelli calendars.
"When I was showing the photos of how I wanted us to look the photographer said, ‘Kelly, I’m not a magician’, but she has managed to do a great job.
“The shot was great fun. We got a little carried away with it all some times.

"At one point on of the girls was wearing heels and holding a whip but we decided the was a little bit too risky for a charity postie calendar.”
It's part of Kelly’s bid to raise £60,000 to help her friend Marisol Gonzales, which saw the 41-year-old from Bradford, West Yorks complete 26 marathons in 26 days in July.
She has also put herself up for auction by inviting people to bid for a date with her.
She added: “I thought it would be fun, a great way to raise a few quid and who knows, I might find my knight in shining armour.”

Marisol contracted Lyme Disease after being bitten by a tick during a visit to the UK in 2012.
She is now forced to spend 23 hours a day lying in bed, unable to do anything.
In her native Argentina the medical profession don’t acknowledge the existence of the disease.
Her only real hope is to raise the funds herself in order to fund potentially life-changing treatment in Germany.
Kelly added: “The £60,000 is a heck of a lot of money. So far we’re at about £15 000. Fundraising is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.”
