Last few years they have refused to let Angard staff park in the Royal Mail car park on day shifts, There is around 100 free spaces every day but them spaces are for "real royal mail employees" and the 6 times I have done MDEC the car park has never been even close to half full....
Last year I used the Toby car park just over the canal but this year the car park has been taken over by a parking company and it will cost £120~ so thats a no go, is there anywhere to park anymore? with a giant car park we cant use its disgraceful to be treated like this.

But if you pay for the Toby car park don't you get that refunded if you call in for a pint before going home, or is there a time limit ?

There do offer "all day" tickets for £5, but would they refund that for a £2 pint?Lounge Lizard wrote:But if you pay for the Toby car park don't you get that refunded if you call in for a pint before going home, or is there a time limit ?

As an Agency worker you have Day 1 access rights , that is access to all Royal Mail facilities that includes car parks , from your very first shift.stoke365 wrote:Last few years they have refused to let Angard staff park in the Royal Mail car park on day shifts, There is around 100 free spaces every day but them spaces are for "real royal mail employees" and the 6 times I have done MDEC the car park has never been even close to half full....

It is illegal for Royal Mail or anyone else to deny you access to the car park or any of the on-site facilities.
The only reason that they could do this is if the car park were at full capacity , but in most Mail Centers this never happens.

A pint, more likely £3.50 than £2, and a bag or two of crisps will get your £5 back.stoke365 wrote:There do offer "all day" tickets for £5, but would they refund that for a £2 pint?Lounge Lizard wrote:But if you pay for the Toby car park don't you get that refunded if you call in for a pint before going home, or is there a time limit ?
