Was there an ERICA completed? Accidents on duty are normally discounted from calculation in the attendance procedure.
No, I did ask for one but he tried saying it wasn't an accident on duty, probably going to have to get union involved to have it put through as an accident...not bothered about claiming anything just want it on the system incase anything else arises from it.

What happened

Tripped on a broken pavement...he said because the pain wasn't instant it wasn't an accident? (it came on towards the end of the loop and started hurting more and more as the day went on, by the end of it I could barely walk) this was on a Saturday and he was gone when we got back so couldn't report it until the Monday...going to see what he says when I show him photos on Monday then might have to contact the union...hopefully it don't come to that, I actually quite like our dom lol

If you remember one thing for the meeting remember that its up to you whether it gets reported, not the manager.

In particular with regard to the above regulation we would draw your attention to the following points

1. The accident book or equivalent must be readily accessible.
2. It is a matter for the employee, not the employer or any one acting on behalf of the employer, whether an entry is made in the accident book or equivalent.
3. There is no restriction on the nature and type of accident and injury that can be entered into an accident book or equivalent. With reference to paragraph 2 we would specifically assert that it is for the employee to determine whether or not they have sustained a personal injury and whether they have been involved in accident.
4. There is no restriction on the time within which an accident has to have occurred in order for an employee to make a record in the accident book or equivalent. Regulation 25(3)(b) implicitly recognises that an entry may be made in an accident at some point after the accident occurred.

Try getting any manager to input this into the ERICA system you need a logon to access RM's computers and as for accident book don't have them anymore even if you ask and that is all you can do. They would rather you bleed to death than fill in an ERICA report so the whole system is weighted in favour of the feckless and not those who fall in the line of duty!
