Looking at the way UrbanPirate have been posting, I doubt he is a Postie at all and not on our side. remember managers and senior managers have access to this forum and masquerade as a Postie.XCHpostie wrote:You have hit the nail squarely on the head. At the end of the day if there is no agreement we are on strike before or after Christmas and if you don't like it, go and get another job!
Just because you lot want something to be true so hard, does not make it true. Do you seriously think people will strike in December? Really? Do you really think it would be wise to strike in December?
Changes are going to be made. A business must adapt with the times. If it doesnt. It fails. Adapt or die. I know which one I am capable of doing.
Remember Philip Green who raided the pension pot, it's happening now so wake the f**k up! You're having your pants pulled down and you can't see it. It's a good job we didn't have to rely on people like you in the war, we'd all be talking German now.

The irony of not liking a post that has done exactly what you suggest in your posts. If you suggest people leave because they don't like the job, I think its a bit rich, and very immature, to get offended when its done back to you.UrbanPirate wrote:Its not me who doesnt like it though. Again just because you don't like the Union, or apparently the people who support it, doesn't make your opinion any more or any less valued than the rest.UrbanPirate wrote:Just because you lot want something to be true so hard, does not make it true.
Historically RM have never had a strike in December, personally, I don't think that's going to change. But whether its wise or not is up to each individual should we be given the option.UrbanPirate wrote:Do you seriously think people will strike in December? Really? Yes, a business must adapt, but it would adapt quicker, and more cheaply if it engaged and included its staff. Royal Mail and its management style of the last 14 years gives me no confidence that they ever will. Until we are seen as an asset and not as a resource Royal Mail WILL always face these problems. If they don't change then perhaps it deserves to die.UrbanPirate wrote:Changes are going to be made. A business must adapt with the times. If it doesn't. It fails. Adapt or die. I do agree that RM would benefit from abit more inclusion from the workforce when it comes to these changes but ultimately they would be banging their head against a wall with the union acting the way it is. Both sides are being overly aggressive in their stances. Mediators is exactly what was needed. These changes are changes that I believe need to happen for the business to maintain competitiveness but the CWU and its members are straight up opposed to anything. The union I believe should be guiding it through to limit the harshness of the change. Damage limitation.
As for the other posters. Straight up weird fellas.

union KNOW change needs to happen!!...but it needs to be AGREED change. not forced in by executive action as these buffoons are trying to do. cutting and slashing people's pensions by thousands and thousands of pounds was putting a red flag to a bull. they treat this workforce with utter contempt. the reaction of 73000 posties is proof they've ''ballsed up'' good style.

I'm happy to converse with you. Strong advocates will be present in the talks so why not here?UrbanPirate wrote:Yet again, Continue to live in your own delusions.
May I ask a question?
Do you, in principle and generally, agree with and support the mechanism of striking in a commercial setting?
Please consider the question only as if it is totally insolated from the current RM/CWU situation.

It's bonkers Boris Johnson hiding behind a name on here he does not believe in workers they are insurrectionists and revolutionaries as he would say if he could get his twitter account working, As for strike action you would have to have worked which many do not do in government or other administrations of government or sell off's by the state to private institutions too the determent of us all. Time we got better answers than insults too us all for we are the workers and workers will unite against toffee nosed Tories every time of the day!LaggyBand wrote:I'm happy to converse with you. Weak !!!!!UrbanPirate wrote:There is little to no appetite to strike in my office in December. Not to mention the damage it would do to our reputation. It would be unforgivable to our customers. The CWU and people on this forum need to get Striking in December out of their heads. It would be embarrassing. Call a Strike, Nobody strikes. Plus, What is the obsession with striking? We don't want to strike. We want mediation to work and get a result so we can move on. Talk of RM making concessions. Guess what fellas, We are also going to have to make a few ourselves. If not, I am certain they are willing and capable to fight us, grind it out and push through the changes anyway. At best its about damage limitation now.

I find it very interesting how someone pretty active on here hasn't answered this simple question yet. Very interesting indeed...k979aaa wrote:It's bonkers Boris Johnson hiding behind a name on here he does not believe in workers they are insurrectionists and revolutionaries as he would say if he could get his twitter account working, As for strike action you would have to have worked which many do not do in government or other administrations of government or sell off's by the state to private institutions too the determent of us all.
