Delivery officers who are new entrants on trial have to attend as they would be the first victims of any comeback.

Non union members don't have to strike but if they did and there was any comeback they could just join.

As for "strike breakers" you do know the vote has not been counted yet? also if any union disciplines a union member for crossing a picket line that union is likely to be taken to an industrial tribunal. There is a document called "picketing" you need to read before you act.
Andy C. Price. Bitterne Manor delivery office.

A suspended CWU unit rep of seven years. Suspended for following instructions of his area delivery representative.
The area delivery representative still holds his position?

ANDY LETS NOT START FALSE PROPOGANDA . NEW ENTRENTS ON TRIAL WIIL BE IN THE SAME POSITION OF ONE THAT HAS DONE 20 YEARS SERVICE. ALSO NON UNION MEMBERS WHO STRIKE ARE VERY HARD TO POINT OUT WHEN THERE IS 200 ODD ON THE GATE AND ABOUT 10 -15 strike breakers IN WORK.

P.S IF THAT EVER HAPPENED IN MY OFFICE WHERE MANAGERS SINGLED OUT ANY ONE FOR BEING ON STRIKE THAN WE WOULD DO WHAT WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST ALL OUT.

I agree yorkie we treat everybody the same at Burslem if a new entrant or somebody who wasnt in the union was discriminated against or picked on then we all would be behind that person...UNITY IS STRENGTH

monoply

Post by redvan »

if the goverment were to get a hold of our so called leaders and made them look at the long road ahead instead of looking at the amount of propertys that they can own . Like us poor postmen/woman the only houses and proertys we can afford are toy one in the monoply game . A other ideas that we can put to the goverment to make them listen

As we all need to stand up and be heard unity is our strenth

red,do you think the gov give a stuff, they are the ones that put laural and hardley in,they are the ones that wanted them to kick us.
Blair knew we were going to lose at least 30,00 jobs when the market opened,he has admitted to this.
Anybody calling on the Government to help us is way off track, they just want this sorted asap and profits to go up.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Surely local RM should not know who is in the union and they shouldn't be told. Would it be against some law like the DATA protection Act.
