any thoughts on tomorrows court ruling ? i have a feeling the court may uphold the strike but have the cwu delay it and insist on more talks.

Yeah, I'm pretty certain the ballot/result are all legal and above board and there is nothing the High Court can do to change that... it's just a question of whether they will force all parties to have further mediated negotiations for a set period (5 weeks?)... before the existing ballot for strike action can then be implemented.

IMHO its gonna come down to the Judge's decision in whether the Union has followed the spirit of the agreement, or that Royal Mail is correct in their assertion that the agreement wasn't strictly followed.

My best guess is forced Mediation at ACAS and a short delay to the strike to allow progress in the talks.

Apparently the courts agreed in Royal Mails favour, hardly surprising really as i can't see a court siding with a union :sad:
