What exactly do you do in this job at mail centre? How much lifting do you need to do, and also, what is a 'yorkie'?

MC staff sort incoming mail and send it on for delivery. It is mainly standing all day, tipping mail bags into containers, which involves lifting.
Sorting packets into Yorkies, and wheeling full Yorkies out to platforms for loading onto lorries.
Yorkies are wheeled cages, about 6' high in which mail bags and loose packets and trays of letters are moved around. I think they are called 'York conainers' or 'Yorkies' because they were first used in York.
