As absolutely none of you have addressed it and only attack me personally. (And you call me a troll) If you strike in the face of an injunction RM would be within there right to dismiss you. Also, you could be held in contempt of court.

My opinion clearly is not the prominent one here or anywhere else in the company hence it is descentting. Also, I really do not see what my gender has to do with anything. Using the condacending term “sweetheart” really does show the type of person you are.

Back to your circle jerk.
There has been loads of office/area strikes last few years - just not national.

As recent as this.

Did RM sack em all?
You give it a try. See how far it gets you.
I wouldn't but its not as clear cut as you say.
You do know how wildcat strikes happen right?
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Best not strike without full CWU backing.
Rolls Royce employees tried that years back, and when they returned to work they were then presented with a new and worse contract of employment....sign it or consider your self sacked.
Just the sort of thing privatised companies do when the share holders are demanding action, and to fall into that trap would be tragic (or stupid).
So for the "we'll strike anyway" posters...just as long as your office is first to go out so the rest of us can see what to expect.

Is it a free market when one corporation owns 10 brands competing against each other with the same product? Is it a free market when the independent corner shop is replaced by Sainsbury's local? Is the NHS Capitalist because it is subject to the flow of Capital? Is Royal Maiils 'business' in the private sector when there are restrictions and regulations on price and service?

No. Finish shift that starts before a strike. Strike for any shift after 11am.

Reverse for going back. Strike on Saturday for the whole shift if you start before 11am and work normally if after.

But we are awaiting official clarification.

Deliveries have a Saturday off.

Ah right ta. That's gonna need some explaining I reckon.
So I am collections, I start after 11am on Thu and Fri and start before 11am on Saturday, surely I can't be striking 3 days?

If you do overtime
That's better for the postie
It will not happen mate. What you say is true but RM are quite happy with the current Posties doing lots of overtime.... rather than recruit more staff. A few reasons:

1) Savings on Holiday (you don't get any extra despite the amount of overtime some people do, unless you buy it).

2) National Insurance payments (they'd have to pay them for additional staff).

3) Sick Pay (apparently the big winner for RM as they're unhappy with the existing level of sickness).

4) Our Overtime Rate is CRAP (so it's not really hitting them in the pocket).

I agree that if we all did less overtime ( I know colleagues that regularly do 20 hours OT a week) it would probably be better for us all in the long run. We might even persuade RM to pay overtime at Time & A Half! :cuppa
My point is in our office there constantly telling us that there is no indoor hours so us in the middle of seniority can't get made up, yet they are forever bringing in people evey day to prep duties the agenda for growth surely is being broken daily in our office?, our office would implode without overtime for indoor and outdoor work as I'm sure most offices would

The answer to all your questions are yes. That is free market. and ah yes, seize the means of production. Withhold your labour. Revolution! oh wait, Doesn't really apply here as we have competitors that will happily do it. It only really works when one holds a monopoly on something. Which we don't anymore. Although that attitude seems to exist still.

I expected some things from this board but I never realised it was a hub of anti capitalism. Its putting letters through doors fellas, not toppling governments.

You completely missed the point. The arguments I made are made by people who call themselves Capitalist. What you don't understand is that Capital and Capitalism are 2 different things but you present ignorance as unchallengeable fact. Now go back to flicking through the Daily Mail biz section and find another nugget of wisdom.

Curly i am in the same boat, yet i work with another who will only take action for one attendance.
There are some who are more affected than others and vise versa. You and i are at one extreme end, however, there are those who through not fault of their own are on a/l.
I can accept it if it is rostered day off or a/l what i can't quite get my head round is that by pure chance my colleague misses out on 7:48 an i miss out on 21:46.
For clarity i will strike with my colleagues but HQ really need to note there are some who are asked and do pay a higher price than others
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP

Some unfortunately have 3 days.
A 48 hour strike from 11:00 on Thursday 19 October until 11:00 Saturday 21 October 2017.

This means if you start before 11:00 on Thursday the 19 October you will complete your normal duty. However, you do not protract or work overtime or SA after your duty has finished. You will strike on Friday and Saturday for the whole of your duty.

If you start at 11:00 or after 11:00 on Thursday the 19 October you will be on strike on that day and unless your duty starts at 11:00 or after on Saturday the 21 October you will not be in work until your next shift or SA if it is scheduled at or after 11:00 on Saturday 21 October 2017.

Night shift workers will be on strike Thursday into Friday and Friday into Saturday.

We're both talking about the same thing Gary. The reason they're telling you that there's no Overtime available is because they've already got some other Posties doing it! Normally it's Posties who are already on Full Time Contracts which I don't agree with. Priority should be to get as many people up to 39 hours BEFORE we allow others to totally kick the arse out of the overtime by doing 14 hours a week! :no no

I believe an additional reason RM love loads of overtime is because IF Mail volumes do drop drastically there's no need to make Redundancies (with all the associated costs). They simply cut all the overtime back for the existing workforce. We've experienced this a couple of times at the quieter times of the year, or when it's coming up to the end of the financial year and they're skint. :cuppa
