A bit like that time in 1981 when we had a vote on not working on Saturdays or continuing to work on Saturdays, but with a substantial pay rise. Everyone I ever met for years after voted to have Saturdays off, but the vote was in favour of keeping them. The 'substantial pay rise' never materialised, but I suppose everyone realises that.

Bit like the possibility of 'several pay rises" last year under the way forward anyone remember

I know that xmas is around the corner but I dont see how anyone can think of making this one great if it puts every one that follows in jeopardy. We have to think long term here. If we manage to pull off a no result then surely it will give us more leverage with the xmas pressure period upon us. Either that or the union will get back around the table, pussy foot around again and keep the talks going until its all over. Then the ball will be firmly back in their court and we'll be up s**t creek without a paddle. Can you really trust Ward and Hayes to do right by you? Im sure as hell I dont.

I really dont know who to trust on this one.

seeing as all the've done is tried to dig themselves out of the hole they dug themselves its time to show them who they work for.They asked for our support and got it but they dont seem to have done anything withit.Just say no

Royal mail has already lost this dispute, they just don't know it yet .They have left all their staff behind .Whats the old saying . you can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.So many people are determined this new way of working won't work,i t will be an almighty cock up

Trouble is RM did not lead or take a horse to water. They tried to bully it, overload it, write bad press about it and finally tried to shoot it. If they had treated us as adults and asked us what is they best way forward they may have found more support coming from the work force. When you put someone's back against the wall they will always come out fighting.

No-one has yet given me a reason to vote yes. The best anyone can come up with is that we cant get our people out again if we vote no. Perhaps the question is not whether to vote yes or no, but rather will you and your office resume strike action.

i totaly agree with you on this agreement. i am a local rep and will be talking to my staff about this agreement. overall all it does is give the managers a bigger stick to hit us with. i can guarantee within a month i will be try to fend of an attrack on my office. lets stick together and fight the people who earn millions of our backs and win. i have 100% support from my boys. having read the felling on thyis website i will be letting my boys know the feeling around the country.
