I don't think too many people could afford an all out strike, me for one. The union have to play their cards cleverly here. One day a week disrupts the whole service if planned correctly and doesn't give the company time to recover before the next weeks walkout

I agree with both your points. It's infuriating that Royal Mail Management refuses to discuss the situation until they're threatened with Strike Action. Perhaps they thought they'd get away it?

They just think we're all a bunch of stupid bastards that will fall for all the BS they try and spin after a highly successful ballot..... fancy quoting how many Posties aren't in the Union and how not everyone voted! No. Finish shift that starts before a strike. Strike for any shift after 11am.

Reverse for going back. Strike on Saturday for the whole shift if you start before 11am and work normally if after.

But we are awaiting official clarification.

Deliveries have a Saturday off.

Which news source would that be then? as far as we can tell it is 11:00 AM on the 19 of October the clock's don't go backwards till 29th only can assume they are using UTC.

Lates and Nights strike Thursday and Friday.

I think others are correct with mail centres being out thursday and friday(if they normally start after 11am) and delivery out friday and saturday. 48 hours/2days pay for everyone. Hopefully we won't need to strike and a deal is done though.
