if they find every house and farm on my rural, then they are better than me, 'cause it took me a week to fathom it all out when I first started.

Happened in our DO. Walked straight out and that was the end of that. It's up to you.rogersh wrote:We have already got our Angard staff in place! , As I have recently posted on another thread.

I have never understood why this situation is allowed to continue whereby those part -timers are fulfilling the obligation set out in the Agenda for growth, But are also working along side semi-permanent agency staff.

If Angard are offering £9.50 p/hr they'll be charging RM significantly more than we're paid

So Angard are part of the Royal Mail group? I just clicked on one of the Vacancies on Angard website £10.57 after 12months plus £23 delivery supplements all seems familiar to normal RM pay rateslightningpostman wrote:angard is RM's 0 hour slave labour organisation, they do all the christmas temps and now from the looks of it, 0 hour postmen/womennickbsmooth wrote:If Angard are offering £9.50 p/hr they'll be charging RM significantly more than we're paid

Agency workers already in place as part of your normal business can carry on as usual..lot of Angard staff on the booksgoogoo wrote:As far as I'm aware using agency staff during strike action is unlawful. They will probably be used on the days we go back to try and help with the backlog.

Hopefully, some of these agency workers choose not to undermine our industrial action...pickles10 wrote:Agency workers already in place as part of your normal business can carry on as usual..lot of Angard staff on the booksgoogoo wrote:As far as I'm aware using agency staff during strike action is unlawful. At the RDC I work at it has always been the case that Agency/Angard are a fixture. In fact I started as one for a couple of years before being taken on. In the past 5 years 3 intakes of Royal Mail staff have been employed on temporary contracts, The latest number 71, Many do overtime yet they still use the agency resource on a daily basis.t3mcIUQWE2 wrote:Happened in our DO. Therefore this arrangement is normal practice as it does not appear to be recognised as being in breach of the agreement as I read it.

A small group is allowed to approach individuals, in a non-threatening manner, and try to explain why you are striking and how they may show support with you.
But in no way are you allowed to stop mail or people entering.
