As an element of our campaign to achieve a Yes vote in the ballot and in an attempt to ensure wider support and pressure on Royal Mail, the Union has placed advertisements in today's national newspapers.
The advertisement is headed "Saving your postal services" and is aimed at maximising support from our members whilst addressing a message to the public.
The advertisement appears in the following of today's newspaper
The Times
The Sun
Daily Mirror
Daily Telegraph
The Independent
Daily Express
Metro
Daily Mail
The Guardian
It is likely that you will have seen at least one of these adverts today but it is attached in full.
We believe that the advertisements are a strong tool in the campaign and an excellent communications initiative. Feedback from members has been extremely positive. Branches can place the same adverts or similar in local newspapers for excellent cost value. You may wish to consider this as a local campaign
Assistance in placing the advert in local newspapers can be obtained from the Communications department by contacting John Colbert on ext 244.
Any queries, please contact mmurray@cwu.org .
Yours sincerely
Kevin Slocombe
Head of Communications

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
