It's a 2 way street, CWU on twitter are hammering @royalmailgroup with retweets and mentions of each office supporting a yes vote, and mock ups on their Facebook group of dogs shitting on the postcards sent out, and various other bits and bobs.
Some would call it unprofessional and childish...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If RM don't want all the things they allege will happen on their propaganda postcards then it's simple, treat their employees with respect and honour previous agreements, then give us a fair pay rise in line with the massive profits we help them make. Otherwise I know what I will be voting and I don't expect it will help Moyà get as big a bonus as this year.
As far as I can see they are full of bluff as they legally have to deliver post to every house and can't do it without us.

To all those 'we will switch to couriers', I met a customer today who was actually collecting parcels left on doorsteps in his street by couriers so passers-by wouldn't knick them.

Showed the latest one we got to my wife who's an English teacher.
She was wondering who wrote it as it seemed to be written by a child

No - it is written FOR a child.Nickvilla20 wrote:Showed the latest one we got to my wife who's an English teacher.

The person who wrote it knows how to write proper English but they think that that is the most effective way to communicate with their audience.
It doesn't really tell you anything about the person who wrote, it but it tells you exactly what they think of you.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The one I got today was hilarious.
Grammatically flawed.
Then spouting some nonsense about polling nearly 2000 adults, over the age of 15??, and the "vast majority" agreeing we would lose business if there was a strike.
I actually laughed out loud.
Can't wait for tomorrow's one...

Cant believe, if they even did, they spent money on a poll to tell us people think a strike wouldn't be a good thing for these businessDexydog wrote:The one I got today was hilarious.
