Ghosting isn't permitted in RM rules, however getting paid a fixed amount for work is.

You can get paid 3 hours pay for 2 hours work and that is fine. The 3 hours is a unit of pay, not time - a bit like saying £30 for 2 hours.

Ghosting is when you do another job during your scheduled hours. If you are contracted from 7am to 2pm then you should not be doing any overtime within that period. In theory you could sit and wait until 2pm before starting your overtime but not before.

man at ours does 2 when its his day off regularly, but he takes no lapsing so usually 1st back with 4 hours overtime too, he is fast though.
fair play he gets away with it but then they try to increase our lapse to take his bit :arrrghhh
afraid some people are just untouchable no matter what, i once said we wouldn't be taking any and ww3 broke out, i looked at the frame and asked why mrX hasn't taken any despite having left 45min earlier, i said overtime does not start until 3pm, manager walked off :left:

This guy has done a deal with the lino, where he will do both duties, gets paid an extra 3 hours, but it only takes him an hour longer cos he runs, yes, runs round. :arrrghhh :arrrghhh The union rep ,linos, & dim all know whats going on but do nothing. They must surely be guilty of assisting in fraud or stealing hours. Any thoughts ??
Add on the 2 hours he starts early and he's worked 3 hours overtime so what's the problem he's short changed himself :cuppa

Exactly, not condoning ghost overtime but think he's sold himself short there, if the lino had someone on it on std duty time or o/t doing the duty as a pair as it's supposed to be then it would have cost him prob 6hrs.

What I can't believe is that someone can do both shared van duties and only take an hour longer than if he was working with a partner !

As said before on this site you couldn't make this up,and wonder why people are downbeat in this culture of fear and unfairness in how this company is run by bullies and yes men employees who are on board with them and look at the rest of us with contempt, what a fair and happy workforce we have,I wonder how this job is sold to people in an interview for a job within Royal Mail, loads of rounds failing on a daily basis,it's laughable,
