When one wave arrives and you take the trays of sequenced out without throwing them in a frame first you will need no elastic bands......that is an extra saving for RM

One wave is going to result in DOs getting more mail during busier days, generally 24 boxes is normally the limit for a batch, on a busy day some batches might get 40+ boxes both waves combined, so anything over the 24 would just get sent to the DOs as manual

That is how it works now, this would have to change to enable one wave.....we will not have the staff, time or means ( or elastic bands either)to manually sort more than 10% manual in DOs. The door to doors and large letters will be sequenced too under this new system.

RM would have to replace all the existing machines (CFCs, IMPS, iLSMs and CSS) to enable everything to be sequenced together though you'd still get a load manual where the capacity won't exist to sequence it. With the way staffing is going in MCs it probably won't be too long before we cut down on the amount that we sequence

I really don't think MC members fully understand. Its not a case of not willing to sort more manual if 1 wave comes in. Its a case of:

1. Not having the capacity within the working hours to sort manual.
2. Not having the equipment to sort manually.
3. Not physically being able to sort more than 1-2% manual on delivery.

If 1 wave comes in the Mail Centres WILL HAVE to send it sequenced or the whole system fails.

With one wave apart from very quiet days, there'll be absolutely no chance of us sequencing all of it, for a MC to get the mail out on time to DOs with one wave we'll have to drastically cut the amount of mail that we can sequence, either that or we'll end up just walk sorting everything

Scrimping on elastic bands for 'environmental' reasons, yet in our office half the taps in the toilets don't turn off properly, piles and piles of paper tissues are put out and used every day even though we've got hand dryers, and the radiators were only turned off last month.
