They want to move your start time back 2 hours and remove your finish time.
When do you want to start panicking?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

strike, fired or quit, either way wont be working past my contracted hours per week. Would be an interesting tribunal if RM sacked you for only working contracted hours.

err removing for finish time ? nahh you still have a finish time be it 8.30 - 4.30 , 9.00 - 5.00 , 10.00 - 6.00 regardless you would till have a finish time. 39 hrs per week , simple. so no panic unless they want to increase our pay and put us on salary ? then no finish time so job till done. like the dims.

Yes a salary is probably an option for RM & less than your earning now. No more extended duty O/T, also all allowances gone inc delivery supplement. Could imagine one being out until 10pm, especially with having to cover all the extra absence & A/L. Plus also the fantastic multi-bundle system.. fumbling around in the dark! Cant wait

A lot of talk about strikes on here but if you look at the whole of the website it's only a handful of people on the blue shirt section who are talking like that don't think most people are interested you might just get in a fight you can't win if we went out on strike for a day and were told don't come back till you sign your new terms and conditions by end of week 1 most people would be back and worse off be careful what you wish for

i hope you enjoy all the terms you currently have which were fought for including strikes, so easily youd kiss them goodbye ? Whats the upside of not striking ? based on your argument if we strike we *might* not get what we want OR if we dont strike we 100% wont get what we want.

I agree that there is just a handful of posters on here with 1000 + posts each ( that shoot anyone down whose opinion or comments differ from there's ).

I don't think they are indicative of the workforce.

There's still plenty of the workforce that come in early, rush and finish and take lapsing. Will they strike ?
Will part timers strike ? can they afford or want to ?
How many are resigned to changes and feel the union can't win ?
How many fear for their jobs if they go out on strike?
How many feel that Royal Mail will make sweeping changes if a strike occurs ?
How many feel strikes are outdated and don't want to ?
How many just won't be arsed to post their ballot paper ?

The perennial posters get only 1 vote each ? No more, no less.

The CWU facebook page is far better as more people have there say and don't get shot down.
This site would be a ghost site without the usual bulk posters.

Like I say I don't feel opinions on this site are any way indicative of the general workforce.

If you look at the CWU " 4 Pillars visits " where they claim such good turnouts - they are in some cases quite pitiful turnouts.

This page has a Momentum "fascism" feel about it - agree with me or you're wrong.
The wannabe "political commentators"

Interesting times ahead.

50% for a Yes is a big ask.

I will guarantee if you ask every postie if they want 10-6 it would be a very big no 9-5 a very big no 8-4 a very big no. Now put the no d2d payments in the hat and the pension being cut for the second time and you start to get why a yes vote could be very big, against that is the split workforce will p/t staff many of whom have no long term plans to work for the r/m want to strike. Voting yes does not mean we strike voting no means we except the cut in wages and the dangerous late finishes, funny how health and safety goes out of the window when it suits.

Sadly wrong if you "own" your round which RM want to do you have no set finishing time only when you deliver all your mail.
