Upon receiving the written notification to appeal from the employee, the
manager should arrange an appeal hearing. This should be arranged as soon
as possible and within two weeks (up to a serious warning) or within four
weeks (for major penalties).
The appeal manager should confirm in writing the date, time and location of
the hearing at least five working days in advance of the hearing.

Cheers TBT, I have had the hearing - sorry If I wasn't clear on that.
I am wondering how long till I hear the result of said hearing?
The employee will normally be told the outcome of the appeal face to face as
soon as is reasonably practical. Timescales for appeals will depend on the
level of investigation required and availability of key personnel. The employee
should be kept informed of when their appeal will be concluded. The appeals
manager may extend the notice period if more time is required by them to
conclude the appeal
So nothing specific.

I got a 2 years serious warning in December New Year's Eve to be exact for an incident that happened in August put my appeal in first day back in January
Still haven't had any word but got a load of s**t to dish on a manager I think that's why it's been left so long
What should I do been in touch with the area rep he's looking in to it that was about a month ago
Nope nothing specific which is what they want.....you see they like to dangle people and cause as much stress as possible, they sometimes do it on purpose Especially on people like Venom who `might` have some dirt on some rogue managers, they do it on purpose to time bar any pending legal action that might arise.
Funny enough if it does go to tribunal and you actually get heard an employment judge would be quite interested in why it has taken them so long to inform you of the decision(assuming it's the get to feck result it usually is.)
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Yes they are meant to be independent.

How many appeals are actually successful, even though I've been stitched up and have haven't done what I'm accused of I'm not too confident been in the job 17 years and feel let down by the conduct procedure, the way the managers have stuck together and I'm disappointed that the union didn't/couldn't stop it before its gone this far

One internal appeal IIRC. But you are also allowed to go to a tribunal and if a member of the CWU, and they think you have a better than even chance of winning, they will cover the costs.
Get your rep on it, and if possible an Area Rep, this isn't something a Unit rep should handle.
