Just curious.
The office I interviewed at told me the position was as a reserve.
The position I got at a different office was through the waiting list so I've not spoken to anyone there yet. I'm assuming I will be a reserve. But the original ad did state rotating day off which as I understand it would apply to a fixed duty?
So I'm not really sure what to expect but being part of this forum and the many threads I've read, I should be ready for anything lol :chuckle

Hi,

I'm a reserve (also called "spare"). I have more of a routine now, but at the beginning I was all over the place doing all sorts. It is unlikely that you will get a fixed duty, although saying that someone who started at the same time as me walked straight into doing a fixed van share duty.

I was on a fixed duty for about 2 months when I started, because the duty holder was off sick.
Now I`m a floaater and I`m moved around where I`m needed and that`s actually a good thing as I get to learn all the office walks :Very Happy
