Is English not your first language?
If not I can understand why you are unable to get a grip on this.
I'll tell you what the difference between an ambition and a promise is if that helps.
Ambition: noun; a strong desire to do or achieve something.
Promise: noun; a declaration or assurance that one will do something, or that a particular thing will happen.

I have posted the link to the NME interview. So where in that (or anywhere else) does Corbyn promise to cancel £100 bn of student debts?

Exactly Fish!
{But clearly he did and it's been discussed by the Shadow cabinet or Rayner wouldn't be talking about it on a BBC interview}

And for Baldy-
Ambition: noun; a strong desire to do or achieve something.
Promise: noun; a declaration or assurance that one will do something, or that a particular thing will happen.
Both of which indicate a future plan/desire/policy/hope/dream/intention/whatever that something will happen, so tell me again that "he never said it" and make yourself out to be even more clueless.
So he "never said it" regarding something other shadow cabinet members freely talk about on TV?
Do you want to try another trip into petty semantics to deny this point too?
The NME was one link I happened to post, but it's not the only one....there's many links I could've used, and if you're using one link as some sort of rebuttal then it's time for you to look a little deeper.

Incidentally you don't need to repeat my "Is English not your first language" comment back to me in every post you make.

I can't prove that he thought it - but then I don't need to - he did, after all, say it. You are all too dumb to understand etc etc

So jets made up quote aside (more fake news and you're getting increasingly desperately ad hominem...there must be a place for you as a Corbynista) it now goes like this..

Corbyn, "he never said it"....even though it's a policy his front bench were prepared to debate in TV interviews.
Yeah OK. 'Course he didn't..The Dear One knew nothing about it....no sirree...

Well I have looked on Google, and haven't found any other references. The only place Corbyn seemed to have said anything about this was in the NME interview.
Any other reference to student fees was only to abolish them. Not to cancel previously accrued debt. The promise to abolish the student fees was set out in the Labour Election Manifesto.
If you have found many links to anywhere else he has promised to cancel £100 bn of student debt please do post them.

Incidentally I thought you were a fan of Tony Blair. It was his Government who first introduced the student fees. Now the Minister responsible, Lord Adonis, is apparently saying it was a mistake, and he didn't foresee Universities trebling the fees from £3k pa to £9k pa.

To turn it around, are you denying you ever said it, intimated it, printed it, promised it or otherwise meant it?

Do you want to try another trip into petty semantics to deny this point too?

I know you don't deal with reality, but the Sinn Fein elected MPs don't take their seats in the Westminster UK Parliament.
Yes the Sinn Fein MPs do not take their seats in the UK Parliament. It doesn't stop Sinn Fein/IRA supporting their pal Corbyn to be Prime Minister given his long record of apologising for their cowardly acts of terrorism.

Whichever way you look at it Corbyn has always stood shoulder to shoulder with Sinn Fein/IRA.
So its OK may cuddles up with the DUP who were recently backed in the election by the uda\uvf. Always remember an ex-uvf leader turned politician saying he could tell the colour of all the dups leaders wallpaper in their homes as they the DUP always denied meeting terroriists :hmmmm

The DUP won 10 of the 18 parliamentary seats and the largest share of the popular vote of any party in Northern Ireland at the recent general election so if you are questioning the DUP mandate to secure a better financial settlement for the people of Northern Ireland then you must equally concede that you are questioning the democratically expressed will of the greater number of people of Northern Ireland.

It is in the UK national interest to have a government in power that can command the confidence of the House of Commons. Given the parliamentary arithmetic following the general election and the common ground between the Conservatives and DUP - particularly with regards to Brexit - the confidence and supply agreement reached between both parties is the best option for providing stability moving forward.

Tman - the words were yours my friend (upthread). The irony has obviously been lost on you.

But you are right in a way - I've had a good laugh over the last few pages of this thread, at your expense. And, to be fair, I'm not really one for mocking and ridiculing anyone - even someone like yourself whose life work it seems to be to mock and ridicule.

I reckon its probably best for the both of us (and this thread) if I go back to ignoring you.

Nothing personal etc.

I suppose there's only so far you can go when your point is so derisory that all you can go for is debating point-scoring, but as a "I was only joking " capitulation speech that was disappointingly weak.
Not a mention of Hayek or Friedman, nor even the merest hint of a quote from Blake or Marx.
You stick to those cut-n-paste stock market articles jet.....no-one bothers to argue with you when you post them.
You keep on ignoring now....

Well, I guess Jeremy Corbyn always was one for the many and not the few :left: hehe

Fast forward to 25: 30 secs
Marr says Corbyn made the promise (to cancel all student debt) way back before the election, and MacDonnell nods his head and says "yeah...yeah".

Clear enough for you now?
