I agree it'll never happen. Jeremy Corbyn won't win. Ever. He is a fraud who is quite happy to promise however much cash as is demanded to any given group. His cynical exploitation of students and young voters will backfire spectacularly in much the same way as it did for the Lib Dems when they promised not to increase tuition fees but decided that was exactly what they would do to get their grubby little paws in power.Tman wrote:No-one knows, but it doesn't matter as it 'll never happen.
Another cynical move by the Old Fraud, and guaranteed to turn another generation off from politics when they find politicians' promises turn out to be worthless.
Still, that'll teach them to vote for someone merely on the strength that thier mate liked him on Facebook..

The agreement reached between the Conservatives and the DUP is entirely sensible given that both parties share a lot of common ground, particularly with regards to Brexit. It also ensures the Government can govern effectively with a working majority. Nobody wishes to see the country plunged into another general election.fishtank wrote:Like a billion to the DUP in return for their votes?fraud who is quite happy to promise however much cash as is demanded to any given group.
Had the Corbynistas been in a similar scenario following the election result, they would have had to have reached out to the SNP, Liberal Democrats and quite a few others. Thankfully Corbyn was defeated and this nightmare scenario has been avoided.

There's one quotable source, but there's plenty more.
Try and keep up, eh?

If it's an entirely sensible agreement why did it come with a £1billion bung?SierraOscarBravo wrote:The agreement reached between the Conservatives and the DUP is entirely sensible...

And you think the SNP would offer to prop up Corbyn without anything extra for Scotland?fishtank wrote:If it's an entirely sensible agreement why did it come with a £1billion bung?SierraOscarBravo wrote:The agreement reached between the Conservatives and the DUP is entirely sensible...

We're not talking about might haves and could have been or what I think though, we're talking about what actually happened and you bleating on about Corbyn promising this that and the next thing and then attempting to defend the Conservative/DUP bribe for support is rank hypocrisy.SierraOscarBravo wrote:And you think the SNP would offer to prop up Corbyn without anything extra for Scotland?fishtank wrote:If it's an entirely sensible agreement why did it come with a £1billion bung?SierraOscarBravo wrote:The agreement reached between the Conservatives and the DUP is entirely sensible...

You know full well that the SNP would never back a Corbyn led Government unless he promised them another independence referendum and more cash for Scotland. And what price to get Lib Dem support - a promise to reverse Brexit??fishtank wrote:We're not talking about might haves and could have been or what I think though, we're talking about what actually happened and you bleating on about Corbyn promising this that and the next thing and then attempting to defend the Conservative/DUP bribe for support is rank hypocrisy.SierraOscarBravo wrote:And you think the SNP would offer to prop up Corbyn without anything extra for Scotland?fishtank wrote:If it's an entirely sensible agreement why did it come with a £1billion bung?SierraOscarBravo wrote:The agreement reached between the Conservatives and the DUP is entirely sensible...

I don't know anything about what "might" have happened full or well. I have an opinion like you but everybody has one of them.
What I do know is what actually happened and the Tories got involved in a mucky deal with a bunch of bigoted throwbacks to the 17th century for cash.

He doesn't. Perhaps Tman could help me to keep up, by referencing some of these 'plenty more' quotes.fishtank wrote:Where in there does he "promise to wipe out £100 billion in student debt"?Tman wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-40547740

(I think you might have a bit more nous than sob who seems to be incapable of backing up his untrue assertions).

I don't see any connection with Corbyn's cynical fantasy promise to eliminate student debt past and present, and the also cynical ploy by a desperate May to ally with the DUP in return for increased funding for NI.
Is there any connection? Presumably, unless something major has happened, the agreement will go ahead to the benefit of all in NI, although to term the DUP as 17th century throwbacks is somewhat strange given that a) they're part of the power-sharing agreement, and b) it would appear that all Celtic politics has something of the 17th century about it, and none have any sort of moral highground in that respect.
