2008 Christmas Stamps

Post by Lounge Lizard »

I have today delivered a letter bearing a 2008 Christmas stamp featuring an angel.
How can this be when they are not due to be issued until 6th November ?
Have they been distributed to retailers a fortnight early, or might it be from a batch that's been stolen ?

You want to let whoever got that letter know that it might be worth some moolah... though only if it is postmarked and dated. Philatelists collect those types of thing.... really.

Went to the local post office last week and she said that she had been sent the christmas stamps instead of the normal ones and as they had run out of the normal ones!

Sorry, I did of course mean "2007 Christmas stamps" - other details are accurate.
