Re-hire

Post by maniakt »

Hi

I've left Royal Mail in April 17 due to "exciting" new opportunity. Things didn't worked out so I've found myself unemployed. I've sent an letter to HR basically begging for my old job back. Hopes were high because I've left on good terms with shift manager however all I've received is email that if I want to work for RM again I should look at their website and apply if I find anything interesting.

I don't really get them I'm fully trained so me coming back would save them time and money. Did anyone else found it difficult to get re-hired or is it just my luck?

Thanks

Michal

You're fully trained but training is cheap ( one day induction training ) and what really saves them money is taking on new staff on part time hours with lower pay and fewer holidays for quite a while. :thumbdown
Sadly too late now but it might have been a good idea to have taken a career break to try out your "exciting new opportunity" in case things didn't work out. :cuppa
