Its not just strike backlog but also network07 is a major disaster. The person who set these runs on PARAGON need to have a major rethink Run times to short so enticing drivers to break the speed limits :no no and best one of all some of our duty's were found to have illegal breaks under EU drivers laws :so there EG should have a 45min break and paragon says 30mins.
I dont know about other depots but from what seen Monday alone we had over 100yorks M1 fail

RM are using Eddie Stobarts!!!!!!!!

Post by smudger54 »

Last weekend due to the backlog and also this week "due to network 07" we're told at our place they cant cover empty duty's with RM drivers or agency. So what have they done to cope? They are using EDDIE STOBARTS to pull our work 5 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday and since Monday at least 2 a night and this aint cheap heard from a reliable source (eddie driver) its costing RM £500 per man and unit/trailer each time!!!!! What gets my back up our place have put them on the 8hr duties :silenced

the money they spent could have gone to overtime and extra drivers considering how much we are paid, this doesn't make economic sense, they are blowing enough money to cover our pay deal and Pensions, quiet clearly common sense has gone out of the window.

HOW BLOODY MUCH!!!!!!!

Post by smudger54 »

We've been keeping tabs on Eddies wagons doing RM work and since last week when they first turned up and averaging 2-3 wagons(at least) per day it equates to the region of approx £9-10,000 per week if the figure the driver gave as correct :evil/mad.
I thought RM pleaded "poverty" "no more in the pot" how the :arrrghhh can they pay out nearly a year of 1 posties wages (apologies to DO/MC boys not sure your actual pay) I mean if this figure is correct you could hire/lease a wagon and earn more in a year pulling post than RM pay you!!! Some fat twat upstairs has lost it

I'd hope all the lads here are on more than 10k, but i know where your coming from. It's just the same as using agency staff they cost a fortune and do feck all. Just about clear were i am but all they've done is crammed everything into the do's, they can't move. One of the lads had to bring a york of mail back on sat morn because they couldn't fit it in the office. Area dist.
