Until we got lumbered with redirects from the "new" stalag 13 KMC because of a proposed visit from Moya....they seemed to have forgot that the staff had all gone to Medway. Still its a bit of final work for us casuals before we are left to turn out the lights!

If you read the prospectus, there's some interesting stuff on Ops. There are over 400 pages, no I have not read it all! Target MCs is 37 which means no more closures after Ipswich & Portsmouth. Has this info been released anywhere else?

They listed three closures for 2015/16 but didn't specify which offices. Ipswich and Portsmouth are known about but who is the third office?

Ipswich downgraded to IVO status due to size of area basically inward work. Portsmouth basically closing in 2016 still nothing on a 3rd MC but Gatwick and Croydon merging on the cards due to Gatwick airport 2nd runway. Also Greenford MC on the proposed HS2 routing So another reshuffle on the cards 2020. Also whats the future with PRDC long term especially with the new interchange for Cross Rail being built at Oak Common a lot of Railway Depots ie Heathrow Express and others may have to move up to Willesden Junction right near PRDC. I have heard that RM are looking another site near Abbots Langley or Radlett

Rumour that the plans to install a parcel sorting machine into Leeds has been scrapped.

Wonder if this means that they finally agree that the building is not fit for purpose or more likely that the also rumoured Yorkshire super centre is on the horizon..

So Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster and Hull all under one roof? Interesting, I wonder where that would be built.

If it's the new parcel hubs that you're refering to, it's ALL Tracked and any normal parcel that's larger than a shoebox.

Do you know Which mail centres will they be taking the work from?
And what shifts are likely to be affected?

You could only imagine that as being efficient for the LAT hubs furthest away from the super hubs, for instance sending Double deckers up to Edinburgh or Glasgow for distribution to all the LAT offices in Scotland. You can't really see much point for the majority though just to unload it at the MC then load it into another truck.
