Can I wear leggings

Post by MissKazzyB »

I feeling abit concerned of what to actually wear when I first start.
I've been reading a lot on here & everyone is saying to get combat/cargo trousers however I can't find them in shops & ive searched on line but they seem to cost £20 plus. I really don't want to spend that on them & then when I actually start, I get my uniform as soon as.
Afew people have said newbies can order straight away so why would I spend money on them for afew days but then again, afew people have said newbies can't order uniform until after a good few weeks. So my question is.....Do you think I could wear leggings with trainers & a t-shirt ?? I'm a women btw lol Thanks

Yes you can, just don't get any with printed logos or those leopard print ones lol !

I would still suggest looser fitting jogging bottoms or shorts you may find leggings rub after doing a shift, but what would I know about leggings I'm just a man!

IMO buy things that are CHEAP and comfortable, go to the likes of Primark or Sports Direct. Depending on office, you may or may not get uniform straight away. If not you want to be in things you don't mind getting dirty, make sure you are wearing something with a few pockets though :thumbup

Do not wear leggings! You need big pockets to put dockets and pens in, as well as a PDA (unless you ask for a PDA holder). Wear combat trousers and shorts that are light and comfortable. By the way, if you ring up the uniform helpline you can actually order some uniform in your first week (I did).

Coming from a woman I definitely wouldn't wear leggings. You will get too hot & they rub on you skin. Just buy some cheap cargo shorts/trousers from matalan for the time being till you get your uniform

If you have a start date and a six month or longer contract u can order uniform straight away. A few girls at our place wear leggings. It's no problem apparently?

We should have to wear leggings because they are comfortable. There's really not much else to it. They're quite practical too since you can wear them under skirts and dresses. I would personally feel naked with only leggings and nothing over them, but if there was no judgment felt I would wear them by themselves sometimes. Also, they're pretty easy to combine if they are neutral-colored, and are well paired with loose shirts. Skinny jeans are probably as flattering, maybe without the panty lines, but they're not nearly as comfortable.

I ordered the uniform as soon as I had a payroll number from the contract before I had even been to the induction.

Uniform was already at the office for my first day there.

Can't see how you would manage without pockets though.....
