It's astonishing that people think that Labour will bankrupt the country, yet have no problem with the Conservatives who have more than DOUBLED the national debt since 2010! And they're proposing further tax cuts to the wealthy, and reducing corporation tax to a ridiculously low level. Why is nobody questioning how they can afford to do that? All the evidence suggests that the Conservatives have a worse borrowing record, and a worse debt record.

We've seen the rich/poor divide get larger than ever. More people than ever using food banks. More children in poverty. Real time wages decreasing, with only Greece doing as badly. Companies privatised on the cheap, benefitting the rich. The NHS starved of funding. Police cuts, leading to a staggering increase in violent crime (check the stats if you don't believe me). Fire service cuts, resulting in an increase in house fire deaths. Disabled people starving, or dying after being declared fit for work. This government has been absolutely vile. I urge everyone to look up the facts, before voting.

It doesn't matter if you don't like Corbyn. You're voting for the party and their policies. It's not even outrageously left wing. Half of Europe has nationalised services and much higher corporation tax rates.

And if you are still in work you can expect your retirement age to be raised even further. the Conservatives have already raised it to 66 by 2020.*
The Conservatives are going to raise it to 68, and it's likely that younger people under 30 may well be working to 70.
Labour have pledged they will keep it at 66 from 2020, as already planned.
How many postal workers, or any manual workers, will be fit enough to work more years?

Edit: * The Conservatives originally proposed to raise the retirement age to 66 in 2016. It was only the EU('bully boys'?!) who made them postpone it until 2020 when women's retirement age will be equalised with men's.

You'd have thought Corbyn would have been the ideal Labour leader for all Scottish socialists to rally round, laughably they'll probably lose their only seat while the Conservatives could quite conceivably gain 12, at the expense of the SNP :thumbup
Tories get 12 seats behave ... the simple fact is the Tories are miles behind the SNP on almost every seat in 3rd or 4th place ... as for the Lib Dems don't think so they like Labour will be lucky to hold onto their single seats .. the Unionist vote hasn't risen and the latest from the Tory manifesto will drive more away from the Tories ... the reality is the UK will be finished within the next 18 months May cannot force us to remain in the UK ...

last year Tories had to borrow £70 billion on top of the UK's £80 billion deficit and Osborne forecasted the government would have to borrow £120 billion + this year before the deficit is added and they claim Labour will bankrupt the UK

Aside from the tartan nonsense that's pretty much how it is.
Shame that Corbyn can't be/isn't trusted to be an effective government by the vast majority, and that vast majority will either abstain or vote Tory.
Still, the old one-trick SNP will fall sooner than later.
When your country's rapidly going down the sh*t-pipe and all you have in the driving seat is Wee Jimmy and His Oiliness voters will rue the day a one-party state became a reality.
{You do actually realise that aside from those in certain Wezzminsturrr positions, no-one in the rest of the UK gives two f*cks whether Scotland is still part of the UK or not, don't you? It might be an over-riding concern from birth until death for some Scots but as many here like to comment, "give us all a vote in Indeyref2 and the Jocks will be gone by Christmas"}

What complete and utter tosh. You had your 'once in a lifetime ' independence referendum in 2014 and Scotland voted decisively to remain in the United Kingdom.

Why don't you respect that democratic decision instead of insisting on another referendum because you didn't get the result you wanted?

Theresa May campaigned to remain in the EU, but as Prime Minister she accepts the democratic will of the British people was to leave the EU and is committed to delivering that.

What a shame Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP won't accept the democratic will of the Scottish people to remain in the United Kingdom.

Also the SNP is not in a position to launch a second referendum as that is a power reserved for the United Kingdom government.

So you want to leave the UK as well as being outside the EU ? Problem is Scotland does more trade with the UK than they do with the EU.

As soon as you're out of the union, you would be subject to customs and immigration controls.

The EU referendum was a UNITED KINGDOM wide referendum. Scotland voted along with every other UK nation and region as one United Kingdom. London voted to Remain, but nobody is suggesting London should be exempted from Brexit. Scotland like every other nation and region of the United Kingdom has to respect the overall UK wide result. That is how our democracy works.

Scottish nationalists have still to explain why they wish to be independent of the UK but to hand over control of their country to the EU bureaucracy. They also fail to acknowledge that outside the United Kingdom they would have to have the euro as their currency. They could not keep the British pound.

They would also not be able to have the Queen as head of state. The UK's Trident submarine base would have to be moved to England leaving Scotland with no nuclear defence and thousands of defence related jobs in Scotland would be lost. The financial sector in Scotland would collapse as jobs went south to England.

To sum it up. An independent Scotland would collapse economically without the resources pumped into the economy as a result of the union.

A vote for the SNP is a vote for chaos and destruction. Don't throw away 300 years of a tried and tested union between our great peoples.

If you don't buy into the lie that "EU bureaucracy" has control of your country there isn't anything to explain.

The bottom line is that the SNP manifesto on which they were elected as the government of Scotland contains a specific pledge to seek a second referendum if the UK voted to leave the EU. At the time nobody paid much attention to it probably because nobody actually thought the UK would be that stupid but here we are so as well as accepting the democratic will of the people of the UK to leave the EU we must also accept the democratic will of the Scottish people who voted the SNP into government based on a manifesto containing a pledge for a second referendum.

Anything else is just hypocritical bullshit.

The (almost) amusing thing is that Westminster has far more control over Scotland that "Brussels" does over the UK!

To be more exact, if was to seek a second referendum if Scotland voted to Remain but the rest of the UK voted us out anyway.

Which surely shouldn't have been possible, after all I distinctly recall various Unionist politicians claiming that "Only a no vote guarantees Scotland's place in the EU"? Though given that they also claimed that a no vote was necessary to preserve the HMRC jobs in Scotland, that only a no vote would man the ordering of 13 Type 26 frigates from the yards on the Clyde, and that they would make Holyrood the most powerful sub-national parliament in the world I suppose it was just one more lie?

Scotland didn't vote to remain in the UK any more than London did as the question wasn't broken down by area or country.
The UK voted to leave.
To use voting by region stats to attempt to justify the SNP's actions is the actions of the desperate.
That said, no SNP supporter has ever explained the paradox of the Scots wishing to be "independent" but wishing to remain in the EU.

Just shows how desperate Labour have become, clutching at straws to win votes whever possible. I like corbyns ideas of renationalisation, he seems to have all the answers, just borrow, borrow, borrow!!! The debt is just a small drop in a very large ocean.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
