Hi everyone, I applied for a postman/woman with driving job back in September but was unsuccessful (didn't get an interview). I actually spoke to my postman about it a few months later and he said that it's most likely the online assessments that I've failed, as if you pass that you will get an interview. Another job has come up in my area (they don't come up very often) and I applied this morning and got an email to complete these assessments so I was wondering if anyone has any tips on what answers they're looking for as I have no idea what I did wrong last time! Any hints or tips would be much appreciated, thanks in advance :) Lana

The personality one is just common sense - Do you get stressed really easily? No...etc.
For the other one I've heard that correct answers are more important than speed, so get as many as you can but make sure you're accurate.
Good luck.

Thanks, I just did it as best and honest as I could, but the postcode part is really difficult! Just have to wait now :)

Well I must have done something right as I got an interview! I can hardly believe it and I'm so happy so I really want to make a good impression on the day. If anyone. Has any advice or tips I would really appreciate it, especially what kind of questions I'll get asked as that would be a huge help! Thanks :) Lana

Thanks so much that's great! Another thing is, can I use my passport for proof of right to work in the U.K if it's expired? Or would I be safer just to take my birth certificate?

Take as much as you can just to be sure.Lana wrote:Thanks so much that's great! Another thing is, can I use my passport for proof of right to work in the U.K if it's expired? Or would I be safer just to take my birth certificate?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes, you can provide an expired passport as long as it's a U.K one.Lana wrote:Thanks so much that's great! Another thing is, can I use my passport for proof of right to work in the U.K if it's expired? Or would I be safer just to take my birth certificate?
