I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

The profits from parcels aren't replacing those from letters. So our solution is to make people wait a day or two longer for their magazines and catalogs, which should finally kill them off as a profit center for good.
Wow. What could go wrong with that plan?

A lot of challenges for us here.
Monthly pay
Disappearing polling card payments, leaflets.
Yet more deterioration in the terms and conditions of pert time workers
Why aren't they complaining to the regulator about all the bogus self employment in other companies that underpins our competitor's ability to cheapen the industry?

You could have one sickness of 3 days in a year and because it's now unpaid it would wipe out any pay increase we MIGHT get many many times over.

Surely no sick pay for the first 3 days is illegal under Self Certification rules

You would have to wait 2 months,,if they get it wrong for April, for example, then that is month 1,with any corrections due at the end of May,so that is month 2.lightningpostman wrote:wait moving to monthly pay will "support there personal finances" and even a better one"ensure greater payroll accuracy & dependability"

Make no mistake,we would be paid n the last working day of the month, like the substantive managers.
If it's all the same to you mr Newby, I'll stay as I am thanks. You can keep your £250.

After reading the letter i think you could condense it down to
"Bend over. I'm about to insert a pineapple and you'd better be grateful".

How can it be right, that a person doing the same work as myself, will not be paid the same as me until they have been there 4 years?
This is very worrying, I'm going to print it and place on our notice board, just so people can see what we are fighting against, combined with the pension debacle. This is probably the worst 'ideas' I've seen for a number of years.

A business that runs on overtime would not work on monthly pay,if they want to make us all up to full time monthly is no problem for me.
