polling cards

they are in for tomorrow and gaffa is saying they've all got to go tomorrow??? thing is though, he says if we go over we can only claim for the cards not overtime, if you do them in your time we get paid for them, BUT, if we hand ANYTHING back we get NOTHING. the person who takes our hand back gets to claim for ALL of them. there was no union men in to confirm it but he reckons this IS the agreement. got to be a load of complete bollox.

bullshit , you get 2 days , and if you would normally go over they have to pay you excess. get your rep in with you.

he says it the specified time for this particular card. they have come in as 1 day delivery. so they have to go out as del/spec

They'll soon change their mind when they have an office full of loops to cover off.

he is saying though, if you cut off you WONT be paid for the poll cards that you HAVE delivered. the payment will go to whoever does what you leave. ALL of it.

Ours in today got 3 days to deliver will not be paid overtime I'll be prepping tomorrow until about 10.30 am then leaving in 3 loops in finish on time happy days

Call their bluff mate, that's what I'm trying to say. If an office, heck, half the office does this it will be enough for them to pay up.

think were having a meeting this morning to do just that
members who werent paid at last poll card issue dont want to do them as payback to the crap they suffered
hopefully office backs them

if your not bothered about the money give them it and just work up to your time , these have always been a pain in the arse with nothing actually set in stone regarding excess claims and payments to do them , why isn't it a set pence per card nationally ? its the government that pay for these to be delivered not royal mail so ive been told , so the more royal mail can take off the staff its money in there bank.

Manchester offices have all been told the same. They are in tomorrow and have to be done in a day.
No OT. And any that do come back or dont go will be done on Sat and no payment given at all ..

We have been given 3 days to clear them. We have been told if we clear them in a day and we go over they won't pay overtime, so we are using the 3 days. Cleared the majority today anyway and will mop up tomorrow at Saturday, we are however blessed as we don't have any households this week!
