Uniform

Hi Everyone,
I've recently started at royal mail around 3 weeks ago, i'm still waiting for my uniform which my manager said should be here this week. I've logged on to the site where you can order online and gives me a list of what has been dispatched. It says the usual allowance as I've only just started but i thought they would send shorts as well but doesn't seem they have. With the weather being nice now and coming into summer can i just order them myself online or will i need to ask my manager? Also they have sent me some black Anvil boots whicharei really heavy and not very comfortable could i order the waterproof trainers instead online?

Yes, you can send them back once they arrive. Your allowed 3 pairs of trousers, you can change a pair of combats for shorts if you've used up all your trouser allowance. It's worthwhile to phone them instead and let them know your returning items and they'll let you order the new items whilst your on the line. Means they'll get to you faster. There will be a return slip in the bag they come in, fill it in, seal the bag and give it to your manager to return. The number for Uniform Ordering is 08007315137.
